Ende Mai dieses Jahres fand einmal mehr das Dunk!Festival statt – Zeit für einen Rückblick
Seit es 2005 zum ersten Mal stattfand, hat sich das Dunk!Festival immer mehr zu einer Hochburg der internationalen Post-Rock-Szene entwickelt. Da es eine vielseitige Mischung artverwandter Musikrichtungen bietet, ist es zu einer Zusammenkunft aufgeschlossener Menschen geworden, die es verstehen, fokussiert zuzuhören.
Dieses Jahr fand es zum zweiten Mal im Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER im De Vooruit statt, einem geschichtsträchtigen Gebäude mit vier opulenten Konzertsälen, die über mehrere Stockwerke verteilt sind und von den Besuchern durch ständiges Hinauf- und Herabsteigen unzähliger Treppen erreicht werden konnten. Es sei denn, man bevorzugte den etwas klein geratenen Aufzug.
Zu den Highlights 2023 gehörten Amenra, MONO , Godflesh, God Is An Astronaut & Jo Quail , Caspian , Nordic Giants , Maybeshewill , A.A. Williams , GGGOLDDD , EF , SEIMS , Gavran, We Lost The Sea – um nur einige zu nennen.
Die atemberaubende Kombination aus Architektur und Licht unterstrich die besondere Atmosphäre des Festivals.
